The reason I was interested in the panels is due to street lights and several porch lights from my neighbors. They tend to trash my night vision and it takes time for my eyes to adjust again. I'm constantly getting up from the telescope to changes eyepieces or install filters. Dan, I used to use an...

Hi again Chris,

Looking again at your post, I didn't answer you fully. Usually we're having very rare conditions if we can exceed 200X in RI.

Hi Chris,

For LX200 specific info you should join http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LX200GPS/

And to answer your eyepiece question, look in the FILES section of that forum for my article entitled Eyepiece Selection for the LX200 or some such.

Clear skies,

How to post a photo

Posting images to the bulletin board is really pretty easy. ASSNE's website has limited memory available and pictures take up a lot of memory, so photos must be stored at another website. I own a couple of websites and store my club pix on my personal website. If you don't own a website, you can use...

To date I've just been moving my scope so that trees or other obstructions block the lights. I priced these pannels and found them to cost around $300 - much more than I wanted to pay.

My dome will be the ultimate solution.

Transit of Mercury - November 8th 2006

A rare transit of Mercury will occur on Wednesday, November 8th. Since this transit is occurring in the middle of the work week it may be difficult for some club members to view this event. But by posting details early it at least gives us a shot at getting a group together. 1st contact at 2:12:04 p...
