The dome shutter has been jammed since mid-December and the disassembly/repair needs to be on a warm dry day. Like today. With the help of my two sons we got the job done. Stargazing is once again a go.
Many astronomy folks are also into ham radio. Not sure why that is but I'm back into it after a 53-year hiatus. Taking advantage of the available manpower and the nice spring day I remounted my VHF antenna up where it's supposed to be.
