Drizzling, in this case, killed it. It demolished the extended nebulosity apparent in the un-drizzled image, as well as dimmed the overall image and muddied up the background. Blech!

No more drizzle for you! :)

Tim, it's been interesting watching your adventures with the Vespera. It's obviously pretty capable for a 50mm scope, but one of the more noticeable differences I've been picking up on is the made-for-cell-phones aspect ratio of the images. Yep, Orion is right in the evening incoming flight path for us. Airline travel is very important. I think we'd have an easier time getting Orion to move. :D

Thanks, Paul! That explains a lot. But it has also just created a lifetime of work for me. Now I have to check Every. Single. Rock. I encounter a lot of rocks in my daily travels. Ahh, New England. :lol:
